This will mark just the third all-time meeting between the two programs with Cal having won both previous matchups in an 87-80 overtime win at home on Dec. 12, 2015, followed by an 86-65 victory at Nebraska on Dec. 4, 2016.

Nebraska is the second confirmed opponent in the Bears' 2026-27 nonconference schedule. Cal will take on Texas A&M at home on Dec. 3 in the previously announced SEC/ACC Challenge. The complete nonconference schedule will be announced at a later date.

The Bears are coming off their second straight 20+ win season and a run to the quarterfinals of the WBIT. Cal returns four out of five starters from last year's team including Lulu Twidale, who set program records for both single-season and career 3-pointers and will enter the 2026-27 season ranked second in the country for career 3-pointers.
