California wide receiver Jordan King was named a nominee for the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, Allstate and the American Football Coaches Association announced Monday.

King is one of 162 student-athletes nominated for the honor, which recognizes college football players who demonstrate a commitment to community service, academic achievement and leadership.

Over the course of his career in Berkeley, King has coached at the annual Golden Buddies Football Clinic that pairs kids with and without disabilities in a series of fun football activities. In addition to his work with Golden Buddies, he helps lead the Cal Football Reading Challenge. King has visited schools on multiple occasions to help promote reading over the summer to elementary and junior high-aged children.

King is entering his fifth season with the Golden Bears. The redshirt senior finished the 2025 season with 22 receptions for 267 yards and two touchdowns. He played in 11 of Cal's 13 games while starting two and caught his first collegiate touchdown against Minnesota.

Established in 1992 and presented by Allstate since 2008, the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team honors student-athletes who use their platforms to strengthen their communities and support causes important to them.

One student-athlete will be selected as team captain and receive the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy, which recognizes exemplary community service, leadership and achievement on and off the field.
