SANTA CLARA – The California women's soccer battled Santa Clara in a defensive 1-1 draw Sunday afternoon. Soleil Dimry scored for Cal at the 10:08 mark of the first half. In the 56th minute, the Broncos tied the match on a penalty kick goal. Neither side found the back of the nest the rest of the way. 

Cal goalkeeper Alyssa Savig recorded three saves in the match, highlighted by key stops at the 27:31 and 54:05 marks. The Bears finished with eight total shots, including six on goal. Cal moved to 0-0-2 on the season. 

Emilia Eriksen, Mia Van More, Lizzie Vranesh, and Campbell Carroll also made their season debuts for the Bears. 

The Bears return to action Thursday at Pepperdine, with the match set to air on ESPN+.
