On Tuesday, The California football program and NBC Sports Bay Area reached an agreement to expand television coverage over the course of the 2026 season.

Inside Cal Football will return for its second season along with two new shows —  Inside Cal Football: Golden Era and a new postgame show, Cal Football Postgame Live — that will air following each game.

Season 2 of Inside Cal Football is set to premiere on Aug. 6. The first episode will be replayed throughout August and cover the offseason. On Sept.3, the program will begin its usual weekly cadence when it previews the season-opening matchup versus UCLA.

Inside Cal Football will be an in-depth look inside the program, hosted by the voice of the Golden Bears, Justin Allegri, and will feature footage from previous matchups, player features and interviews with Travers Family Head Football Coach Tosh Lupoi, General Manager Ron Rivera, assistant coaches and players while looking ahead towards upcoming opponents.

The 30-minute show will debut new episodes every Thursday beginning Sept.3 before pregame shows begin for the San Francisco Giants and Golden State Warriors throughout the football season. The show will also be replayed at various times on Friday and Saturday before kickoff.

There will not be a show during the weeks that the Bears have a bye week.

Inside Cal Football: Golden Era will be a three-part weekly series airing Aug.13, 20 and 27. The show will be an exclusive 30-minute behind the scenes look into Cal football's first fall camp under new Travers Family Head Coach Tosh Lupoi. 

Following every game this season, fans will be able to tune in to watch Cal Football Postgame Live, a 30-minute postgame show hosted by Greg Silver and Patrick Laird. For home games, the show will be produced live from Gate 1 outside of California Memorial Stadium and later played on NBC Sports Bay Area following Giants or Warriors coverage. For away games, the show will be produced in-studio and later played on NBC Sports Bay Area following Giants and Warriors coverage.

For Bear fans who don't have access to NBC Sports Bay Area, Inside Cal Football, Inside Cal Football: Golden Era and Cal Football Postgame Live will be shared on CalBears.com and Cal Athletics' YouTube page following each new episode.
