Bears To Play Trojans On Oct. 25
The California women's basketball team will play a preseason matchup at USC on Oct. 25 the program announced Tuesday as part of the First Look presented by Oak View Group. The tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. PT and the game will be streamed on Big Ten Plus (B1G+). Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased HERE.
This marks the 81st matchup in the series history between the two programs. The former Pac-12 foes last faced off in the Invisalign Bay Area Women's Classic last December at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
After playing UCLA on Oct. 14 in the previously announced Jason Kidd Foundation x Verderia Tipoff and facing USC, the Golden Bears conclude their preseason schedule with a home contest against Vanguard on Oct. 29.
Under head coach Charmin Smith, who is entering her eighth season at the helm, Cal returns seven players from last season's roster, including four of the team's top five leading scorers. Among the returners is All-ACC Second-Team selection Lulu Twidale, who last season set program records for both single-season and career 3-pointers, and finished fifth in the NCAA in triples, and who will enter the 2026-27 season ranked second in the country for career 3-pointers. The Golden Bears finished the 2025–26 season with an overall record of 21–15, marking the team's third consecutive winning season, while advancing to the quarterfinals of the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT).
