2020: Earned a fifth year of eligibility.
2019: Competed on pommel horse and rings, posting season highs of 12.250 on pommel and 14.300 on rings...his mark on rings was also a career best.
2018: Advanced to the NCAA finals recording Cal's top score of 13.900 on still rings... Recorded a career best 14.000 at Oklahoma on still rings... Earned a career high 12.900 on pommel horse at the Pac-12 Invitational... Recorded a personal best on high bar with a 12.300 on Cal Benefit Cup.
2017: Started his season at the Big Meet on 1/15 hosted in Berkeley posting a a 11.300 on the pommel horse and a 12.600 on the still rings...Garnered a score of 12.150 on pommel and 13.650 on rings vs. Temple University on 1/28 at the SC United ... Recorded a 11.500 on the rings on 2/6 in a meet against Iowa.
2016: Had collegiate debut on 1/24 vs. Ohio State and Stanford and posted a 13.750 on still rings... Recorded a 13.600 on still rings at International Collegiate Challenge on 2/27... Scored a 13.050 on still rings vs. Army on 3/11.
Personal: Member of Stanford Boy’s gymnastics club ... Eight-time California state all-star team member, has been named to the regional select team five times and has been selected to the junior national team twice ... Between 2004 and 2014, Plate qualified to every Junior Olympic state, regional and national championship he was eligible for ... Born on Feb. 13, 1997.
