The sophomore transfer returned home to don the Berkeley Blue and California Gold in 2020 as Iqbal is a native of San Jose and graduated from Pioneer High School. His final season at Wisconsin, Iqbal competed in all five fall tournaments and both of the events in the spring with the Badgers. His best finish was a tie for 29th at the Bearcat Invitational (September 30-October 1) where he set a career-low 54-hole score of 217.
 
At Pioneer High, Iqbal posted the lowest score in all 12 matches his senior year and won the league final by a total of seven shots. That same season, he became the 2019 CCS Regional Champion, CCS Sectional runner-up and moved on to become the first player from his high school to compete in the state championship.
 
A few of Sebastian's amateur career highlights include: a 2017 Future Collegians World Tour championship, two top-10 finishes (third and ninth) at the Alameda Commuter Am, and Round of 16 finishes at both the 2017 and 2018 SF City Championships.
