Biography

2023-24: Viller Moeller produced her best college season in her final year at Cal, earning All-Pac-12 First-Team status, a final singles ranking of No. 53, a final doubles ranking (with Mao Mushika) of No. 18 and selection to the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships…the Dane was also stellar in the classroom, garnering College Sports Communicators Academic All-America honors for the first time, after first claiming CSC Academic All-District status…Viller Moeller posted records of 23-22 (singles) and 25-14 (doubles)…was a key contributor to a Cal team that reached the Pac-12 Championship final and the NCAA Super Regionals and finished the year with a No. 10 ranking…in the conference tournament quarterfinals, Viller Moeller defeated Chelsea Fontenel, 6-3, 6-3, on court one to clinch Cal’s 5-0 win over 27th-ranked Arizona State…she was ranked as high as No. 12 in singles in the fall, when she won the singles title in the ITA Northwest Regional Championships and reached the singles quarterfinals of the ITA National Fall Championships.
 
2022-23: Named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and selected to the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll…on the court was 24-11 in singles and 11-10 in doubles…claimed All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention…clinched Cal’s first three victories of the season – a 6-1 rout of UC Santa Barbara, a 4-1 result over Princeton and a 5-1 win over San Diego State…also clinched a 6-1 thumping of Arizona State.

2021-22: Earned All-Pac-12 Honorable mention, named to the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll and named an ITA Scholar-Athlete…the Dane compiled records of 27-13 in singles – including a 9-3 mark on court five – and 11-7 in doubles…Viller Moeller clinched three Cal dual-match victories, all of which ended 4-3, starting with the Bears’ win over No. 8 Texas A&M in the ITA National Team Indoor Championship first round…against the Aggies, Viller Moeller beat Jeanette Mireles, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(5), to cap an almost four-hour long match…she clinched another 4-3 win, beating USC’s Grace Piper, 6-4, 6-4, as Cal edged the No. 17 Trojans on March 26…finally on April 8 indoors in Pullman, Washington, Viller Moeller knocked off Elyse Tse, 7-6 (7-1), 6-2, to wrap up the win over the Cougars.

Spring 2021: Had a productive first year as a Golden Bear, posting records of 16-8 in singles and 15-7 in doubles…Viller Moeller clinched four wins for Cal, including the Bears’ 4-0 blanking of San Jose State in the NCAA first round…in the postseason opener, the Dane beat the Spartans’ Lara Marco Mas, 6-1, 6-3, at court-four singles…mostly played on court five, on which she was 9-6, and was also 7-1 on court four…in doubles, she teamed with Anna Bright to form Cal’s court-three team, with the pair posting a 13-6 record…the duo got wins in the NCAA first round vs. San Jose State (6-0 over Tamara Culibrk/Irena Muradyan) and second round vs. Kentucky (6-1 over Ana Tkachenko/Carla Girbau)…Viller Moeller was also 2-1 in doubles with Haley Giavara.

Personal/Previous: Graduated from Cal with a degree in economics…Viller Moeller has a career-high ITF combined ranking of 103 and played for the Danish Fed Cup team in 2019…won the Danish singles indoor and outdoor championships in 2019…ranked No. 1 in the U12, U14, U16 and U18 Denmark rankings, Viller Moeller also captured Danish junior national championships at each of the four age groups…in 2018, she competed in qualifying in each of the junior Grand Slam tournaments, with Viller Moeller reaching the singles main draw of the Australian Open…she has won titles at several ITF junior tournaments, including taking the singles crown in a 2016 G4 event in Varnamo, Sweden, when she was 14…the Dane played in a W15 tournament in Tabarka, Tunisia, in September 2019, advancing to the singles semifinals, and was the singles runner-up at J1 Berlin in June 2019...parents are Catrine Viller and Martin Moeller, with siblings Rosa and Liva Viller Moeller.
