Biography

As a Senior At Fairfield (Fall 2021):
  • Remained one of the team’s top offensive threats in addition to one of the Stags’ top defenders.
  • Her ability to transition from defensive to offense made helped her post two goals and five assists for nine points in her 15 appearances.
  • She tallied more than half of those points in postseason play with a goal and two assists in the Stags’ NEC Championship Game 3-1 win over LIU, and an assist in the team’s NCAA appearance against nationally-ranked Delaware.
  • She garnered All-NEC second-team honors and NFHCA National Academic Squad recognition following the 2021 fall campaign.


As a Junior (Spring 2021): 
  • Secured berths to a couple of postseason teams in 2020-21, earning a spot on the All-Northeast Conference (NEC) first team as well as a nod to the NFHCA All-Mideast Regional team.
  • She continued her role as a playmaker, leading the team in assists for the second straight season.
  • After posting 11 assists in 2019, the junior returned with four assists in 2020-21 and served as the only Stag to have more than one assist during the seven-game season.
  • The four assists comprised her point total for the season.
  • Was also one of the team’s top defenders, helping the Stags post four shutouts and allow just five goals in seven games during the campaign.


As a Sophomore (2019): 
  • Completed one of the best seasons in school history, a claim supported by becoming the program’s first NFHCA All-American.
  • The defender also was voted the NEC Player of the Year after helping the Stags capture the conference’s regular-season and tournament titles.
  • She was also named NFHCA All-Region and All-NEC first team for her performances.
  • The sophomore started 20 of her 22 appearances, missing starts against Indiana and Bryant.
  • She led the team with 11 assists and added six goals to give her 23 points.
  • Her point total ranked second among her teammates, just two off the top spot.
  • All six of Persiehl’s goals decided games, securing game winners against Boston College in overtime, Kent State, Indiana, Sacred Heart, at Villanova, and versus LIU.
  • She made one defensive save during the season, making a stop at Villanova.
  • Persiehl scored in 12 straight games which accounted for 16 points including an assist in the NCAA Championship.


As a Freshman (2018): 
  • Persiehl collected two major awards from the MAAC for her play during 2018 when she was named the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year and the Rookie of the Year.
  • She earned a spot on the conference’s postseason first team for her play.
  • Her defensive effort made her one of the top defenders in the MAAC, helping the team registered seven shutouts and allow one goal or less 11 times.
  • Persiehl also had her success up front with a goal and two assists. Her only goal of the season was a game winner as the Stags defeated Rider by a 2-1 score in the MAAC Tournament semifinals.
  • She assisted on two goals in the team’s 5-4 setback at Columbia.


High School/Club: 
  • A defender from Germany, Pershiehl comes to us from the Großflottbeker THGC club and Gymnasium Hochrad school teams.
  • Her and her club won the Hamburg Championship and qualified for the German National Championship in multiple seasons.
