Spring 2016: Completed his senior season with a 19-8 singles record (including 12-5 in dual matches) and an 8-9 doubles mark...in one of Cal's biggest team victories of the season, Wikberg defeated Ohio State's Herkko Pollanen, 6-4, 6-3, at court-five singles as Cal upset No. 5 Ohio State, 4-3, in the NCAA quarterfinals in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to reach the NCAA semifinals for the first time since 1991...he also teamed with Andre Goransson to clinch the doubles point over the Buckeyes, with a 6-3 victory over Martin Joyce/Ralf Steinbach on court two...in the NCAA round of 16, Wikberg posted a win over TCU's Eduardo Nava, who retired with an injury after Wikberg won the first set 7-6(4), and the Bears upset No. 4 TCU, 4-3, in Tulsa...he also paired with Goransson to win at court-two doubles against the Horned Frogs, beating Trevor Johnson/Guillermo Nunez, 7-6(4)...in his final regular-season home match, Wikberg paired with Goransson to beat Stanford's David Wilczynski/Nolan Paige, 6-2, on court two to clinch the doubles point in Cal's 4-1 win in the Big Slam at the Hellman Tennis Complex.
Fall 2015: Compiled a 7-3 singles record in the fall...that included reaching the round of 32 in the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships in Seattle and defeating teammate Billy Griffith, 6-1, 4-6, 1-0(5), to win the consolation final of the Battle in the Bay Classic in San Francisco.
Spring 2015: Went 19-8 in singles and 11-10 in doubles in the spring; was 25-12 (singles) and 16-13 (doubles) for the season…finished 9-4 at court-four singles and was 17-7 in dual matches…clinched Cal’s 4-2 win at Washington with a 7-6(4), 6-4 victory over Emmett Egger at court-four singles, after pairing with Andre Goransson to clinch the doubles point with a 6-4 triumph over Egger/Jeff Hawke also on court one…also clinched a 7-0 drubbing of Utah with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Matt Cowley at court-four singles…earned Cal’s lone point in a 4-1 quarterfinal loss to Columbia in the BNP Paribas Collegiate Challenge presented by Oracle, beating Bert Vancura, 6-4, 6-3, at court-six singles.
Fall 2014: The Wisconsin transfer posted a 6-4 singles record and 5-3 doubles record in his first fall as a Golden Bear…entered the 2014-15 season with a No. 81 singles ranking…reached the singles rounds of 16 in the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships and Battle in the Bay and the singles quarterfinals of the Gael Classic…also got to the ITA All-American Championships round of 64, falling to Illinois’ Aleks Vukic, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1…in doubles, paired with former high school classmate Andre Goransson to reach the regional final, with the Bears losing to San Francisco’s Bernardo Saraiva/Nils Skajaa, 5-7, 6-3, 1-0(6).
Personal/Previous: Interdisciplinary studies major…transferred to Cal from Wisconsin…posted an 11-7 singles record and 7-8 doubles mark in the 2013-14 season as a Badger…compiled a 20-16 singles record and 19-10 doubles record as a freshman at Wisconsin…won Swedish National Championships in Singles U18...member of the National Championship Team Danderyds Tennisklubb...ranked top eight in Sweden from U12-U18...played in two doubles quarterfinals at the ITF 10,000 Futures Tournament...won ITF singles title in Vietnam Grade 5…parents are Erica and Micael...has one sister, Hanna.
