BERKELEY - After an impressive showing at the NCAA Championships, the California men's gymnastics team proves it excels in the classroom with six Golden Bears landing on the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation's All-Academic Team.

Matthew del Junco, Donothan Bailey, Jacob Jizrawi, Daniel Culpepper, Dennis Mannhart and Michael del Junco all earned placement on the academic squad. Cal's six accolades tie Stanford's six to pace the conference.

The student-athletes were nominated for this award by their institution based on the following criteria: with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade-point average and at least a sophomore academically, the student-athlete must have completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is being received. Additionally, the student-athlete must have competed in 50 percent or more of the institution's competition.
