Koroline Borgersen begins her first season as a volunteer assistant coach at Cal after spending the past two years competing for the Bears. While finishing up her undergraduate work on campus, Borgersen looks to offer guidance and leadership to the Bears youthful squad.
As a Golden Bear, Borgersen earned All-American honors in doubles during the 1999-00 campaign with partner Anita Kurimay. In 1997-98, she played mostly in the No. 2 and 3 slots at Pepperdine before transferring to Cal. In 1996-97, Borgersen helped Pepperdine to a 20-8 dual match record and its 10th consecutive West Coast Conference championship.
Borgersen was the former No. 1-ranked player in Norway in both singles and doubles. She represented Norway at the European Team Championships in 1996 Federation Cup play against Italy, Latvia and Sweden and also competed in the '95 Federation Cup vs. Egypt, Ireland, Morocco and Tunisia. She has won several singles and doubles titles at tournaments throughout Europe.
