Cal Beats Pepperdine for Third Place at MPSF Championships

LONG BEACH, Calif. - The University of California men's water polo team defeated Pepperdine, 7-5, in the third place game of the MPSF Championships, as six different Golden Bears scored.
The Bears battled back from a 3-1 defecit after the first quarter of play. By halftime the Bears had knotted the score and scored two goals in each of the final two quarters to post the victory.
Brent Albright scored two goals for the Bears and Jeff Moloughney, Chris Dornin, Phinney Gardner, Eldad Hazor and Albert Won each contributed a goal.
