As a Sophomore: Struggled with a hip injury much of the second half of the season … finished eighth in the Pac-10 and led Cal with 23 wins (23-14 overall) … earned regional all-tournament honors after going 3-1 with a 1.12 ERA in Fresno, earned all-tournament honors at the Capital Classic in which she went 2-0 … second in the Pac-10 with 242.4 innings pitched and tied for sixth with eight shutouts … finished with a better-than 4-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio … had at least seven strikeouts in a game 17 times … recorded at least 10 strikeouts five times, including a career-high 17 in a 12-inning, 6-5 victory over Stanford … went 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA at the Seminole Classic in Tallahassee, Fla., with wins over Florida State (twice) and Florida Atlantic … blanked No. 1 Washington, 2-0, on a six-hitter … started the season 10-0 … at the plate, batted .263 with 10 hits, including a double and four RBI … pitched against the Olympic team over the summer and struck out seven batters in an exhibition game.
As a Freshman: Earned second team All-Pac-10 honors after compiling a 24-7 record with a 1.32 ERA … her ERA and strikeout total (226) were the best at Cal since Michele Granger in 1993 … allowed opponents to hit just .199 against her and surrendered only 5.05 hits per seven innings … had 12 complete-game shutouts and shared in five others … started the year 11-2, then won seven of her last eight decisions … tossed a complete game in Cal's 4-2 victory at Arizona April 16, the Bears first win in Tucson since 1991 … blanked Washington on a five-hitter with nine strikeouts April 25 at home … also had road wins over Top 10 teams Arizona State and Oregon State … named to the all-tournament team at the National Invitational Softball Tournament when she went 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA and victories over Notre Dame, Texas Tech and Utah … had a stretch of 47 consecutive scoreless innings from Feb. 28 through March 18 … at the NCAA regional, was 3-0 with a 0.30 ERA … tossed the first no-hitter in Cal postseason history when she blanked Massachusetts, 2-0, in eight innings in an elimination game … also set a career high with 14 strikeouts in the contest … had a 0.97 ERA in the '99 NCAA Tournament, which included three appearances at the College World Series.
High School: Became only the third player in state history to post more than 500 strikeouts in a season when she struck out 507 her junior year at Righetti HS … as a senior, named a first team NFCA All-American after going 24-5 with 19 shutouts, nine no-hitters and a 0.17 ERA … struck out 349 of the 615 batters she faced that year and also earned CIF Division II Player of the Year honors … was a member of the USA National Team elite pool … one of 40 players chosen to participate in the selection camp for the 1999 USA Junior Girls National Team.
