Rajeeb Hossain will oversee the day-to-day operations of the football program in his first season at Cal in 2013. His comprehensive list of responsibilities is highlighted by the coordination of team travel, assisting with the maintenance of the budget, and the organization of training camp and team community relations efforts. He will also supervise the operational activities and staff of the High Performance Zone, training room, video, recruiting and academic support departments.

In addition, Hossein will oversee training table and player meals, facilities and new construction, and serves as the assistant director of Cal football summer camps.

Hossain comes to Cal after spending one season as the director of football operations at Louisiana Tech in 2012. At Louisiana Tech, Hossain oversaw the daily football operations of the program including team travel and the management of the budget. He also initiated and launched head coach Sonny Dykes' L.A.B. (Life After Ball) program, which was established to help football student-athletes start professional careers within their degree field.

Prior to his tenure at Louisiana Tech, Hossain worked for nearly two years at the National Prep Network in Minneapolis as a national sales representative and regional scout. He was responsible for providing full service recruitment and game exchange software to all high school football coaches and teams in the Texas Region while also providing scouting services in Kansas and Oklahoma.

Hossain previously spent six seasons on the football staff at Kansas (2004-09) as the on-campus recruiting coordinator, serving as a liaison to assistant coaches during the recruiting process and providing data and research on recruits. Hossain maintained strong relationships with high school and junior college coaches throughout the country as he assisted the Jayhawks' recruiting efforts. During official and unofficial visits, Hossain handled all of the in-house recruiting duties. He also maintained the recruiting website and assisted with the oversight of the creative mailers prospects received via mail and email. Hossain was a part of three bowl championship teams while at Kansas in the Fort Worth Bowl, Insight Bowl and Orange Bowl following the 2005, 2007 and '08 seasons.

Prior to joining the KU football staff, Hossain worked as an assistant in the school's ticket office and served as a lead writer for Mark Rodgers' Oklahoma Pigskin Preview.

Hossain graduated from Norman High School in Oklahoma and earned a bachelor's degree in social studies education from Central Oklahoma in 2000.
