Brandon Brenseke begins his fourth season with the Golden Bears in 2020-21, rising from video intern in the 2018 season to video coordinator in 2019 and now serving as the program's Director of Video & Scouting.
Brenseke manages the program’s scouting and recruiting film, as well as the practice and game film. He also assists Cal's coaching staff in preparing recruiting information and materials.
As an intern and coordinator, Brenseke assisted the Director of Scouting and Video by compiling game and scout film, creating player and team footage, developing scouting reports and producing recruiting material.
Prior to arriving in Berkeley, he was a student manager for the University of Illinois’ men’s basketball team, where he developed personnel edits, assisted with scouting and stat reports, filmed practices and assisted in individual and team skill workouts.
Brenseke has served as a counselor and coach at Cal and Illinois basketball camps, as well as at the Brentwood Summer Camp in Los Angeles, Calif.
He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Illinois in May 2017.
