As A Senior (2024): Competed at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships… Nissen-Emery Award Finalist… Team Captain… finished the year ranked 12th in the nation on parallel bars and 22nd on pommel horse… reached the all-around final at the NCAA Championships after posting a 80.698 in the NCAA Qualifier, finishing with a score of 80.132… moved into a tie for seventh in modern program history on pommel horse with a 14.250 at Oklahoma, where he also scored a 14.100 on parallel bars… compiled a personal-best all-around score of 81.400 at the Stanford Open, which included a season-high 14.300 on parallel bars… CGA First-Team Academic All-American... As A Junior (2023): Team Captain... CGA Regular Season All-American (All-Around)... scored 78.532 in the all-around at the NCAA Finals with a personal-best 14.166 on floor... reached an all-around score of 79.531 at the NCAA Qualifier... posted the No. 6 parallel bars score in modern program history (14.300) at a home tri-meet with Army and William & Mary... competed in the Winter Cup for a second straight year, finishing 17th in the all-around... posted a season-high all-around score of 79.800 at the Air Force Academy... recorded the eighth-highest parallel bars score on the modern program list (14.200) at the Stanford Open... at the Cal Benefit Cup, scored 14.150 on rings for the third-best score in modern program history... CGA First Team All-America Scholar Athlete, MPSF All-Academic and Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll member... winner of the team's Most Valuable Gymnast and Keeney-Frey Awards.

As A Sophomore (2022): Competed in the USA Gymnastics Championships... appeared in 11 meets for Cal… qualified for the U.S. Gymnastics Championships after scoring 78.798 in the all-around in the NCAA Championships Finals… placed 22nd in the all-around at the Winter Cup… qualified for the Winter Cup after reaching a career-high 80.050 in the all-around at the Stanford Open… also set career highs on parallel bars (14.350), floor (14.000) and vault (13.750) during the year… CGA Second Team All-America Scholar Athlete, MPSF All-Academic and Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll selection… winner of the team’s Most Valuable Gymnast Award.

As A Freshman (2021): Won the program's first rookie of the year accolade when he garnered CGA Rookie of the Year honors after securing CGA Rookie of the Week honors four times during the season...posted Cal's top all-around score of the year (78.630) at the NCAA Championships...Cal's top scorer on rings seven times, three times on parallel bars and once on pommel horse and horizontal bar...career bests were parallel bars (13.950), floor (13.733), rings (13.450), pommel horse (13.400), vault (13.400) and horizontal bar (13.300)... was a Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll selection, as well as a CGA Second Team All-America Scholar-Athlete... winner of the team's Most Valuable Gymnast Award.

CLUB: Competed for World Olympic Gymnastics Academy (WOGA)...JE national qualifier in 2017 and 2018...Region 3 Elite Team in 2018.

PERSONAL: Majored in electrical engineering and computer sciences (EECS) at Cal... was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee for his entire collegiate career, acting as co-head of the Mental Health and Wellness subcommittee for one year... co-founder and director of external communications of Cal Athletes in Tech... son of David and Megumi Newfeld.
