2025-26: Qualified for the 2025 NCAA doubles championship alongside Tiago Silva... posted 18-7 singles record and 26-14 doubles records... ranked as high as 7 in the ITA doubles ranking... won the ITA Northwest Regionals Doubles tournament with Tiago Silva... made the doubles final of Battle in the Bay...

2024-25: Named the ITA Northwest Regional Player to Watch after an outstanding season…also named to the All-ACC Academic Team…was 22-11 in singles and 8-9 doubles in his sophomore season…qualified for the NCAA Singles Championship for the first time when he defeated UCLA’s 104th-ranked Aadarsh Tripathi 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 in a playoff match at the ITA West Sectional Championships in Malibu, after reaching the singles quarterfinals…Stepanov lost in the NCAA singles first round to Timo Legout of Texas 6-3, 6-4…clinched Cal victories over UC Santa Barbara (4-0), USC (4-3), No. 61 SMU (4-2), No. 15 Duke (4-3) and No. 47 North Carolina (4-0) in the home finale at the Hellman Tennis Complex, with the last three wins coming back-to-back-to-back.

2023-24: Named All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention in his first season, when he finished with a 20-11 singles record and was 12-9 in doubles…Stepanov clinched a 5-0 win over UC Davis on Feb. 3, beating Max Fardanesh 6-1, 6-1 to wrap up the match and clinched a 4-3 win over UC Santa Barbara on April 7 with a 7-5, 6-3 result over Kai Brady…he teamed with fellow first-year Bear Jonathan Irwanto to advance to the consolation final of the Pacific Coast Men's Doubles Championships in March, but the final was rained out… in October at the KPSF Open – a professional tournament in San Francisco – Stepanov won three times to reach the singles semifinals.

Personal/Previous: Business administration major…paired with fellow Swiss player Luca Staeheli – who competed for NC State – to capture the doubles title in the M15 Koszalin tournament in Poland in 2024…has ATP rankings of 1,358 in singles and 1,267 in doubles and a UTR rating of 13.
