Biography

2025-26: Posted records of 3-5 in singles and 7-8 in doubles…clinched Cal’s 4-2 win at No. 30 SMU in the regular-season finale, beating Natalie Stasny 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 on Court 6 in Dallas…Hernandez also partnered with Mille Johanna Moerk for the first time to clinch the doubles point against the Mustangs, with the pair besting Stasny and Sophie Llewellyn 7-6(3) on Court 3.

2024-25: Posted records of 12-6 in singles (including 9-5 in tournament play) and 4-4 in doubles in her first season…her 3-1 singles dual-match record included a memorable win at No. 27 Stanford, with the San Francisco Bay Area product beating Morgan Shaffer 6-4, 7-5 to earn the first clinching win of her college career in Cal’s 4-3 victory in the Big Slam.

Personal/Previous: Undeclared major…intending to major in EECS with a minor in math…blue-chip recruit ranked 24th nationally and fifth in the state of California…ITF career-best junior ranking of 933…placed fourth in USTA Girls 16s National Championships in doubles in 2022…parents are Eva Jackson and John Hernandez…her mother played tennis at Harvard, her uncle Ethan Jackson played at Columbia and her twin sister, Rachel Hernandez, plays for Emory University.
