Andrew Evans is in his third season on the Cal baseball staff in 2026 as the team's Director of Camps and video coordinator.

In this role, Evans oversees all Cal Baseball camps and clinics, manages video technology and analytics for player development, and assists the coaching staff with scouting, opponent breakdowns, and day-to-day operations. His work plays a key role in supporting both on-field performance and recruiting efforts.

Evans has helped modernize the Golden Bears’ use of video and data, implementing efficient systems for capturing and analyzing practice and game film. He leads the program’s camp infrastructure, building high-level instructional experiences for youth, high school prospects, and developing athletes across Northern California.

Before arriving in Berkeley, Evans gained experience working with amateur and collegiate athletes through coaching, training, and operations roles. His background in technology, instructional programming, and player communication has made him a valuable contributor to Cal’s staff culture and program growth. Evans continues to support the Golden Bears’ competitive goals by integrating analytics, video, and development pathways while helping strengthen the Cal Baseball brand through its growing camps and outreach initiatives.

A Bay Area native, Evans began his playing career at Los Medanos College, where he was a starting infielder and team captain. He later transferred to Holy Names University, finishing his collegiate career while earning his masters degree. Over his time at Holy Names, he steadily contributed in the infield and at the plate — in 2023, Evans appeared in 41 games, with 130 at-bats, collected 39 hits, hit five doubles, scored 17 runs, drove in 19 RBI, walked 11 times, and posted a batting average of .300.
