Chelsea Rex-Singleton

Rex-Singleton brings a wealth of knowledge to Cal after spending the past two years as an assistant coach for Southwestern. During her tenure, she guided several Pirates to four all-conference honors, along with 12 honorable mentions. She also spent six years at Redlands, beginning as a graduate assistant in 2016, while earning a master's degree in higher education, before being elevated to an assistant coach in 2019. With the Bulldog, she helped lead the program to a SCIAC tournament title in 2021 and an SCIAC regular season championship in 2022. Rex-Singleton was a part of the back-to-back SCIAC Coaching Staff of the Year (2021-22) under head coach Jose Ortega.
 
As a student-athlete, Rex-Singleton earned a bachelor's degree in both psychology and early childhood education in 2015. On the field, she split time in the circle and at third base. As a pitcher, she appeared in 53 games (35 starts) and recorded a 4.13 career ERA with 153 strikeouts, 22 complete games and 12 wins in 239 innings pitched. Offensively, Rex-Singleton accumulated a .227 batting average with 52 hits, 40 RBIs, 24 runs and seven home runs.
