Dols comes to Berkeley after three seasons as an assistant coach at Villanova, where he led the women’s program to its 13th consecutive Big East championship in 2026 while setting a record for most points scored in conference history and the men’s team broke 10 program records and posted its highest conference scoring total since 2021. Before his stint at Villanova, Dols spent time as a volunteer coach at Kentucky after competing in the SEC Championships as a Wildcat.
Hailing from Sarasota, Florida, Dols swam for both the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Kentucky while also competing in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, representing Jamaica in the 200-meter butterfly and 200 individual medley. He holds eight Jamaican Senior National Records and swam for the Senior National Team from 2015-2023. Dols has also competed in four World Championships.
Dols earned his master’s degree in supply chain management from Kentucky and his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering & applied mechanics from Penn.
