Maggie Cheek

Maggie Cheek, a former national champion student-athlete at the University of Washington, is in her second season as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Golden Bears.
Cheek spent the past two years as a head coach with the Marin Rowing Association, where among her accomplishments she led the Novice 8+ to the gold medal at the U17 USRowing National Championships. Prior to her time in Marin, Cheek served on the staff at Stanford under Acosta, where she helped the Cardinal's Lightweight team to a pair of national titles in the varsity eight and varsity four - the first time a school had swept those two events at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championship.
Cheek helped the Huskies' Varsity 4+ win the gold medal at the 2008 NCAA Championships. She also took the Pac-10 title in the Varsity 4+ in 2007.
