BERKELEY, CA - Led by junior Brittani Llorente's three goals, and two goals apiece by juniors Allison Gold and Shaina Feldman, and sophomore Elsie Windes, No. 7 Cal dominated Pacific, 12-5, Sunday at Spieker Aquatics Complex. The Golden Bears improved to 15-9 overall and 6-6 in the MPSF, while the Tigers fell to 11-19 overall and 2-10 in the MPSF.

Cal outscored Pacific, 3-0, in the first period on goals by Llorente, Windes and Feldman. After the Bears' Katie Card scored with 6:14 in the second period, the Tigers battled back to get within, 4-3, at the half by outscoring the Bears, 3-1, in the second period. Pacific was paced by two goals from Jessica Schroeder and a goal by Jennifer McCall.

Cal regained control of the contest by outscoring the Tigers, 5-0, in the third period behind two more Llorente scores and goals from Gold, Lauren McGee and Feldman. The Bears then cruised to the final 12-5 margin with goals by freshman Vanessa Lindsey, Windes and Gold in the fourth period.

Schroeder and Laura Besmer had two goals each for Pacific. Cal goalie Alex Feune de Colombi finished with six saves, and Tiger goal Jocelyn Gray also notched six saves.

The Bears will next host the MPSF Championship, Apr. 28-May 1 at Spieker Aquatics Complex.
