California head coach Mike Montgomery:
On Cal's game-winning shot:
"We were fortunate to have the last shot. Luckily, we were in a tie and not behind trying to get the last shot, so we could have gone into overtime if we didn't make it."

General thoughts:
"I thought that this was one of our better performances this year from a lot of different people, in terms of being smart against what Utah runs. They run good stuff, they know what they want to do."

On Utah's Tyler Kepkay and Luke Nevill:
"Kepkay came in and hurt us, and the `big guy' [Luke Nevill] was a constant problem for us. We had to keep rotating people in and we had a lot of people come off the bench and play very smart basketball. We gave up some stuff to [Nevill] in order to protect the corners where they really shoot the ball well."
