BERKELEY - In beating Dartmouth on Saturday in the first round of the 16th annual Colliers International Golden Bear Classic, Cal recorded its 10th win in 12 games to start the season. The Bears also started the 2007-08 season at 10-2.

The Bears remained a perfect 8-0 on the home court this year and when leading at halftime. Cal has now won 30 of its last 33 non-conference home games.

For the 11th time this year, Jerome Randle led the way for Cal in scoring, notching 15 points against Dartmouth. He also tied his season high in assists with eight and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. On the season, Randle is shooting 86.1 percent from the charity stripe.

Jordan Wilkes tied his career best in points against the Big Green, putting 11 points on the board.

Omondi Amoke also had an impressive day, coming up just shy of a double-double. Amoke tallied nine points and a game-high 10 rebounds. The 10 boards were also a career best.

Eddie Miller recorded his first career block and also collected eight points. Also recording his first collegiate block was D.J. Seeley, who contributed a career-best six points, as well.

Cal's bench outscored Dartmouth, 42-20. The Bears also earned 52 points in the paint to Dartmouth's 22.

Cal's all-time record in the Golden Bear Classic is now 26-5. If they win the tournament final tomorrow afternoon, the Bears will have won their 11th title in the history of the tournament. Cal will face the winner of the Air Force-Portland contest on Sunday.
