HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: At Miramonte High School was a two-time first team all-league performer and second team All-CIF North Coast Section in water polo...helped lead his team to league and North Coast Section championships in 1996 and '97...also competed four years in swimming and was a high school All-American, North Coast Section champion and record-holder in the 100 breaststroke (57.09)...competed in wrestling as well, and was an all-league and North Coast Section qualifier...in water polo was a member of the Zone 6 Junior National Team...considered Princeton before selecting Cal...majoring in integrative biology with an interest in attending medical school...mother, Terry, attended Cal, as well as cousin, Drew Fischer, who pitched for the Cal baseball team from 1994-97...parents are Tony and Terry Conte...born March 21, 1980 in Berkeley, CA.
