Kim Maher Bio - The University of California Official Athletic Site

Kim Maher, a member of the 1996 United States Olympic team, enters her sixth season as an assistant coach with the Golden Bears.

A shortstop at Fresno State (1991-94), Maher earned second team All-American status her senior season. She finished her career as the Bulldogs all-time leader in home runs (31), RBIs (181), runs (162) and doubles (49). Her career batting average was .344 with a season-high .421 in 1994.

As an interntional, Maher has represented the United States at the 1995 Pan American Games, 1997 World Championships, in addition to winning a gold medal in Atlanta in 1996.

Maher graduated from Buena High School in Ventura, Calif. She earned her bachelor's degree in physical education from Fresno State in 1995.
