California women's gymnastics finishes its four-meet season-opening road swing at No.14 Arizona State this Sunday with the Golden Bears looking for their second road victory over a Pac-12 opponent this season. The Bears and Sun Devils are set for an 11 a.m. PT/12 p.m. MT meet at Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe, Ariz., airing live on the Pac-12 Networks. The Bears took individual victories on every event in their last outing despite a loss at then-No. 13 Washington. A rocky start on bars put the Bears in a hole early, but Cal set a season-high team total on the vault and topped the 49.0 mark on floor for the second time this season. Toni-Ann Williams raced to a 49.325 all-around total and picked up the vault (9.90) and floor (9.925) titles along the way.
Despite their recent slow starts, the Bears have continue to trust their season-long growing process, and the deep squad is seeing strong contributions from numerous Bears in the lineup. California heads to Tempe with two Bears ranked among the nation's top 30 on their events, including Alma Kuc (24th, uneven bars) and Alicia Gallarzo (26th, balance beam).
