Fresh off a season-high performance in Haas Pavilion, California heads back to the Farm to take on 25th-ranked Stanford in a dual meet this Saturday. The meet is set to begin at 7:30 pm in Maples Pavilion and will be broadcasted live on Pac-12 Networks. The Bears face the Stanford Cardinal for the second time this season after taking the win over then-19th-ranked Stanford in the season-opening NorCal Classic, a five-team meet featuring both Pac-12 Bay Area programs plus UC Davis, Sacramento State and San Jose State.
The latest iteration of the Cal-Stanford clash again features the battle of national team elites, as Stanford's senior leader Elizabeth Price was member of Team USA and California redshirt senior Toni-Ann Williams represented Team Jamaica. Both squads also feature an exciting pair of freshman all-arounders in Stanford's Kyla Bryant and Cal's Kyana George.
Both George and Williams put their prowess on display last week to help lead the Bears to their fourth 197.0 score in school history, as Williams put up a 39.600 to win the all-around and George added a personal-best 39.400. The duo was outstanding on vault as George notched a career-best 9.90 and Williams anchored with a 9.925. Williams also added a 9.90 floor title to her outing. Cal tallied 14 career or season-best performances en route to three event totals that ranked within the program's top five scores in history.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
197.225The Bears recorded their third-highest overall score in school history against No.4 UCLA, their first 197.0+ score since Feb. 18, 2017. The total was more than a point higher than the Bears' previous season-high score. Cal is one of only 12 teams in the country to score a 197.0 or better this season.

The Bears were lifted to their first 197.0+ outing via 14 season or career-high performances. Cal went 24-for-24 in the meet, including a 6-6 performance on bars for the first time this season.

Against the fourth-ranked Bruins, California turned in three totals that ranked among the program's top five scores in school history. Cal's 197.225 overall total was the third-highest score, while a 49.400 on vault was the second-highest team total on the apparatus. Cal's 49.350 on beam matched the program's best-ever total on the event.

The #PowerfulInPink meet saw the Bears notch several program records but Cal fell to fourth-ranked UCLA, 197.750-197.225.• The Bears recorded the second-highest vault score in program history with a 49.400, led by Toni-Ann Williams' 9.925 performance and three career-high performances by Kyana George, Cassidy Keelen and Rachael Mastrangelo.
• Cal won two individual titles on performances from Toni-Ann Williams on the floor (9.925) and all-around (39.600).
• 14 of Cal's 24 routines were either season or career-high best scores.
• The Bears had their first perfect outing of the season, hitting all 24 routines, including a 6-for-6 day on the uneven bars.
• Cal set a season-high score of 49.250 on the uneven bars, with four season or career-high routines on the event (Toni-Ann Williams, 9.85; Alma Kuc, 9.90; Yuleen Sternberg 9.85; Sofie Seilnacht, 9.85).
• California matched its program record on beam with a 49.350, led by Williams' 9.925 routine and Sofie Seilnacht's career-high 9.90.
VAULTING TO VICTORY
The Bears have seen a steady increase in their vault score throughout the season, finishing with a 49.400 against No.4 UCLA, the second-highest score in program history. California has won the individual title on the event in three of their past four meets, including wins against No. 14 Arizona State, No. 16 Arizona and No. 13 Washington. In their record-breaking performance against UCLA, the Bears saw career highs by Kyana George (9.90), Cassidy Keelen (9.85) and Rachael Mastrangelo (9.825), and a season-high performance from Toni-Ann Williams (9.925), who took second on the event. California is currently ranked 11th nationally in the event, their highest position in the national standings.TONI AWARD WINNER
Toni-Ann Williams' 2017 season may have ended with an Achilles injury, but the Olympian has come back stronger than ever to lead the 2018 Golden Bears. She owns a team-high 10 event titles and is ranked in the top 50 on vault (29th), floor (22nd) and the all-around (45th). With her 9.975 performance on floor at Arizona State, she matched her career-best score on the event and won the individual title, while matching the top floor score in school history. Williams won three event titles in back-to-back weeks at Washington and Arizona State.RANKED ON THE ROAD TO NATIONALS
The Golden Bears opened 2018 at No. 11 in the Road to Nationals preseason coaches poll, the program's second-highest ranking in school history. Cal's No. 11 ranking was just one spot behind last season's best-ever No. 10 ranking.Cal is set to face four opponents ranked in the Road to Nationals preseason top 25 this season, and nearly every single program the Bears will face this season is ranked or received votes in the preseason poll, including two top-three programs in Utah (No. 5) and UCLA (6), and seven top 30 programs, including Washington (15), Stanford (18), Arizona (26), Minnesota (27) and Central Michigan (30).
