BERKELEY – Let the postseason begin.

The No. 12 Golden Bears open their trek this weekend in Colorado Springs, Colo., for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Conference Championship which will pit them against top-ranked and reigning NCAA champions Oklahoma, No. 4 Stanford and No. 11 Air Force.

California will see Air Force for the first time this season, but faced Stanford and Oklahoma earlier in the season.

Competition is set for 4 p.m. (PT) Saturday with a live stream available for paid subscribers on MPSF.org.

Finishing the regular season with a meet win and season-best team performance, Cal hopes to use that momentum to propel it deep into post season competition. The Bears recorded a 399.100 to overcome Arizona State and Washington to close things out at home.

The final meet saw individual season highs from Aaron Mah (81.700) in the all-around while trio Yordan Aleksandrov (14.400), Jonathan Wang (13.450) and Mitchell Awisus (13.800) recorded season bests in the parallel bars.

Cal also fared well on the road in Norman, Okla., when they battled the Sooners on March 10 and finished with a then team best 397.250, and an event win on the floor exercise before succumbing to the reigning conference champions.

Saturday will be a good test for the Bears as they look to return to the NCAA on April 20-22 in Chicago, Ill.
