Simon Lekressner collected a goal and an assist as California men's soccer routed San Diego State, 4-0, on Thursday night at the SDSU Sports Deck.Â

Cal avoided an early SDSU goal when A.J. Valenzuela hit the post with his shot at 1:37.

The Bears got their early goal at 5:34, when Estrada crossed into the Aztecs' box, and Williamson chested the ball then volleyed his shot past goalkeeper Max Watkin to give Cal the 1-0 lead. The junior forward now leads Cal with five goals and 10 points.

Lekressner scored his third goal of the season after another cross, this time from midfielder
Francisco Perez, found him deep in the SDSU penalty area at 11:16. The senior defender lashed the ball past Watkin to double Cal's lead.

Still in the first half, Lekressner turned benefactor as his cross looped past Watkin and found Estrada directly in front of goal, and the forward scored his third goal of the season from close range. Just like that, Cal led the Aztecs, 3-0, just 31:15 into the game.

San Diego State produced a few chances on Thursday, though no shots came from a roughly four-minute stretch in the first half in which the Aztecs were awarded eight consecutive corner kicks.

While Cal outshot SDSU in the first half, 4-3, the Aztecs had a 10-2 shot advantage in the final 45 minutes, in which they forced Cal senior goalkeeper
Drake Callender to make all four of his saves. The home team also wound up with 16 corner kicks on the night to just two for the Bears.

Cal capped the game in the 89th minute when
Lucas Churchill played the ball over the SDSU defense to Ibrahim, who chipped Watkin to score his first collegiate goal and give the Bears the 4-0 lead.
The Bears next play at UCLA on Sunday at 4 p.m.
