Biography

2019: Signed with MLS debutante Inter Miami CF as a Homegrown Player after completing his college career with the Golden Bears…he garnered All-Pac-12 second-team and United Soccer Coaches All-Far West Region status after tying a career high with six shutouts to rank second in the Pac-12, posted a 0.743 save percentage (ranking third in the conference) and compiled a 1.12 goals-against average (ranking fourth in the Pac-12)…early in the fall, Callender trained with the U.S. U-23 Men's National Team…also accomplished in the classroom, the legal studies major was a Senior CLASS Award finalist who collected Athletic Study Center Scholar-Athlete of the Week recognition in 2019.

2018: Named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA All-Far West Region Third Team… Earned All-Pac-12 Second Team honors… Named to the Preseason All-Pac-12 Team. ...Placed on the preseason MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List. ....Missed four matches due to injury. ...Recorded four shutouts, including two in Pac-12 play. ...Combined with Noah Texter to help shut out No. 6 Stanford in the final match of the season. ...Made a season-high seven saves in a win over San Diego State. ...Finished with a win-loss record of 7-5-2

Played 17 games for the Bears, all starts… Led the team and league with 72 saves during the regular season, allowing 21 goals… Finished with a 10-7 win-loss record in goal… Recorded 1547:20 minutes in goal, with a season-high 103 minutes at Portland on 9/9… Tallied a season-best nine saves at Portland… Faced a season-most 19 shots at Washington on 10/22 to total 199 shots faced on the year… Delivered six shutouts on the season.

Personal/Previous: Legal studies major...joined the Earthquakes Academy in 2013/14 after playing for Placer United (2012-13) and Cap FC United (2010-12)... Part of Bella Vista HS team that went undefeated (20-0-2) and won the CIF San Joaquin Section, saving the final penalty kick in the final against Turlock as a freshman... Helped the Earthquakes Academy team reach the final four in the 2014/15 season...off the field, set the freshman long-jump record at Bella Vista HS after leaping a distance of 21.05 feet.
