Golden Bears Ranked As High As No. 10 Nationally
Off The Tee
- Cal begins its 2018-19 post-season at the Pac-12 Championships with two team titles (Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational, The Farms Invitational) as well as top-five showings in eight of its 10 regular-season stroke-play events.
- National Player of the Year candidate Collin Morikawa, also a Byron Nelson Award finalist and Ben Hogan Trophy semifinalist, is the nation's second-ranked golfer according to Golfstat and No. 3 in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings. Morikawa is second in the country with a 68.44 stroke average that is only 0.20 strokes behind national leader Matthew Wolff of Oklahoma State and 0.24 strokes ahead of the 68.68 all-time single-season NCAA record Morikawa set in 2017-18. In addition, Morikawa has current streaks of 15 consecutive finishes of tied for seventh or better and has been in the top 20 in each of his last 22 events.

Cal's History At The Pac-12 Championships
- Cal won its lone two Pac-12 titles in back-to-back fashion in 2012 at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis and 2013 at The Los Angeles Country Club.
- Three Cal golfers – Charlie Wi (1995), Eric Mina (2010) and Max Homa (2013) – have been Pac-12 Championships individual medalists. Mina is the team's current assistant coach.
- All three seniors in the Cal lineup – Sebastian Crampton, KK Limbhasut and Collin Morikawa – have each played in three previous Pac-12 Championships. Limbhasut (2015, 2016) and Morikawa (2017, 18) both have a pair of top-10 finishes.
- Cal finished fifth at the 2018 Pac-12 Championships while Morikawa was its top individual finisher with a seventh-place showing.
