Jackson Ends Run At ITA Fall Nationals
SAN DIEGO – The first half of the 2022-23 season ended on Thursday for the Cal men's tennis team, as
Ryder Jackson fell to Harvard's Harris Walker in their consolation singles match at the ITA National Fall Championships.

The Golden Bear junior fell to the 39th-ranked Walker, 6-2, 6-0, at the Barnes Tennis Center.

Jackson has impressed in the first half of his first season at Cal. The USC transfer played at the ITA All-American Championships, reached the final of the ITA Northwest Super Regional Championships to qualify for fall nationals and competed with the nation's best players in San Diego.

"I'm super happy with how the fall went," Jackson said. "It's probably my best fall since I've been in college, results-wise, and I'm proud of where my game is now. I hope to continue the success going forward."

In the Dick Savitt Open on Thursday in Ithaca, New York, Cal's
Yuta Kikuchi fell in the second round of the singles main draw to top-seeded Sekou Bangoura, 2-6, 7-6(5), 6-2. In the doubles quarterfinals, Robin Catry and Fons Van Sambeek advanced in a walkover past Cal's Kikuchi and
Siddhant Banthia, ending the Bears' run in the 15K tournament.

Cal starts the New Year in Honolulu, where they play Florida State on Jan. 8 and Hawaii on Jan. 9.
