Bears Host No. 2 Bruins In Pac-12 Opener
Three-Game Set Begins Friday Afternoon
BERKELEY – The California softball team opens its Pac-12 slate this weekend with a three-game set against No. 2 UCLA at Levine-Fricke Field.

First pitch between the Golden Bears and Bruins is set for 2 p.m. on Friday in the series opener, followed by a 1 p.m. first pitch on Saturday and a noon start in the finale on Sunday.

- Mika Lee has an eight-game hit streak going with 15 total hits in the eight games, including 10 hits in her last four games. She leads the team with a .417 average.
- Mika Lee (.417), D'Asha Saiki (.400), Kacey Zobac (.382), Makena Smith (.353), Tianna Bell (.313) and Sophie Medellin (.311) are all hitting above .300 to lead the Bears after the first month. Â
- Returning all-conference players Tatum Anzaldo (.371) and Sona Halajian (.360) are both back in the lineup after missing time this month, but haven't had enough plate appearances to qualify for official stats.
