Lauzon Matches Program Record For All-Around Score

SEATTLE - The No. 2 California women's gymnastics team got another record-breaking performance en route to a 197.875-196.050 victory at Washington on Saturday in its Pac-12 opener.

Junior Mya Lauzon recorded an all-around score of 39.775, matching the program record that sophomore eMjae Frazier also tied a week earlier at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad in West Valley City, Utah. Frazier had previously set the mark last season.

Lauzon won on vault (9.95) and beam (9.975) while tying for the top spot on bars (9.95) and floor (9.925). Junior Maddie Williams also scored a 9.95 on bars.

"We were thrilled with how our team competed tonight," Cal co-head coach Justin Howell said. "School just started, so there's another difficult layer that they have to navigate. Each week we want them to be the best that they can be on that day."

Senior Andi Li scored a 9.90 on both beam and floor while Frazier notched a 9.925 on beam.

The Golden Bears (6-1) host their home opener vs. Oregon State on Saturday at 2 p.m. PT. The meet will air on the Pac-12 Network.
