- Today's game was the first meeting ever between Cal and Virginia.
- RB Kendrick Raphael scored three touchdowns for the second consecutive week, rushing for a pair of scores while catching his first career touchdown pass as well. Kendrick has at least one rushing touchdown in each of Cal's last five games and a total of nine over the past five contests. Raphael finished with 13 rushes for 46 yards as well as career highs of four receptions and 66 yards receiving.
- QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele finished 19-for-30 for 213 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. He is one of three FBS true freshmen ever to record at least nine straight games to begin a collegiate career of passing for 200 or more yards.
- The interception thrown by QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele on the final play of the third quarter was the first turnover committed by Cal since the Bears had four against Duke on Oct. 4.
- TE Mason Mini connected on a 42-yard touchdown pass with RB Kendrick Raphael in the third quarter to become the first non-quarterback to throw a touchdown pass for Cal since WR Vic Wharton III connected with fellow WR Kanawai Noa on a 15-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter at Colorado on Oct. 28, 2017.
- WR Trond Grizzell had a career-high 8 receptions for 80 yards and now has 100 career receptions and 1519 yards receiving, along with seven touchdown grabs.
- ILB Aaron Hampton had a career and game-high 15 tackles.
- DL Aidan Keanaaina registered a career-high 10 tackles.
- DB Cam Sidney registered a career-high 9 tackles.
- OLB TJ Bush Jr. had a career-high 2.0 tackles for loss and a career-high-tying 1.0 sack.
- DB Dru Polidore Jr. had his second career forced fumble and second in the last three games.
- Brook Honoré Jr. had career highs in punts (7), yards punting (320), punts inside the 20 (2) and punting average (45.7), while also had the longest punt of his career (54) and tied for the most 50+yard punts (2).
- DB Jasiah Wagoner made his first collegiate start.
- Cal extended its string of consecutive games with at least one sack to 21. The Golden Bears finished with two sacks.
