Freshman (2025)

Became only the second true freshman quarterback to start a season-opener for the Golden Bears with the only other Jared Goff in 2013.
He also became the first Cal true freshman signal-caller to win a season opener and finished 20-for-30 for 234 yards passing with three touchdowns.
Against Oregon State, he completed his first nine passes of the game.
Threw for a career-high 279 yards and equaled a career-best with three touchdown passes against Minnesota.
Became the only Power 4 and second true freshman in FBS history to pass for 200 or more yards in each of the first 10 games of his college career, and one of only three in FBS history with seven or more. Houston's David Piland began his career with 14-straight 200+ passing yard games spanning the 2010-12 seasons.
Against No. 15 Louisville, Sagapolutele went 30-for-47 for 323 yards - all career-highs and threw two touchdowns.
