Freshman (2025)
  • Confirmed his commitment to Cal moving forward on Dec. 6
  • Became only the second true freshman quarterback to start a season-opener for the Golden Bears with the only other Jared Goff in 2013.
  • He also became the first Cal true freshman signal-caller to win a season opener and finished 20-for-30 for 234 yards passing with three touchdowns at Oregon
  • Against Oregon State, he also completed his first nine passes of the game.
  • Threw for 279 yards and three touchdown passes against Minnesota.
  • Against No. 15 Louisville, Sagapolutele went 30-for-47 for 323 yards with two touchdown passes, including a three-yarder to Jacob De Jesus on fourth-and-goal on the game’s final play for the game winner.
  • Finished 31-for-40 for 330 yards passing with four touchdown throws and no interceptions in a 38-35 home win over No. 21 SMU in the 2025 regular-season finale with both his yards passing and touchdown passes career highs. 
  • Became the only Power 4 and second true freshman in FBS history to pass for 200 or more yards in each of the first 10 games of his college career, and one of only three in FBS history with seven or more.
  • Has completed 288-of-453 passes for 3117 yards with 17 touchdown throws and nine interceptions while starting all 12 games as a 2025 true freshman.
  • Leads the ACC in completions and completions per game (24.00), while he is fourth nationally in completions and sixth in completions per game.
  • Ranks third in the ACC and 14th nationally in passing yards, while his 259.8 passing yards per game are also third in the ACC as well as 16th in the nation.
  • Has begun his collegiate career with 12 consecutive games of 200 or more yards passing and is the only Power 4 and second FBS player to ever accomplish the feat. Houston's David Piland began his career with 14-straight 200+ passing yard games spanning the 2010-12 seasons.
