Bears Set For Doubleheader At Saint Mary’s, Big Series At Stanford

The California softball team (27-14) will open a six-game road trip this week with a doubleheader at Saint Mary's on Tuesday before heading to The Farm to face off against No. 15 Stanford in the Big Series on Thursday through Saturday.
 
Saturday's series finale at Stanford will be the Big Swing, as the Cardinal attempts to break the NCAA softball attendance record of 12,566. Cal fans can be a part of history by purchasing tickets here.

  • The Bears currently rank 17th in the NCAA in doubles (71), 27th in batting average (.331) and slugging percentage (.543) and 30th in on-base percentage (.416).  
  • For April, Softball America tabbed Mia Phillips as the 11th-best second baseman and Lagi Quiroga as the No.13 catcher in the nation.
  • Mia Phillips was also listed as the second-best freshman in the ACC by Softball America on March 25.
  • On March 26, the Bears recorded a season-high 16 runs against James Madison, which tied for the second-most runs scored in a single game for Cal since March 10, 2021.
  • Cal won 16 straight games between Feb. 21-March 15, marking its longest win streak since 2013.
  • On Feb. 26, Acacia Anders was named the ACC Player of the Week after a stellar performance at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. At the event, Anders hit at a .625 (10-for-16) clip with six RBIs, collecting five runs, four doubles and two walks while totaling a .875 slugging percentage. In two of the last three games against LMU and Northwestern, she recorded three hits and had recorded a hit in seven consecutive games at the time.
  • Cal is officially set to break ground on a renovated softball facility following the final home game of the 2025 season and is estimated to take 16-18 months to complete.
