5TH STRAIGHT TOP 25 ACC SERIES - Cal is playing its fifth straight ACC series against a team ranked in the top 25 of at least one national college baseball poll. The Bears started the stretch with No. 14 Virginia at home, then visited No. 14 Stanford and No. 18 Louisville before returning home to host No. 6 Clemson. In addition to the upcoming series at No. 18 Georgia Tech, a three-game home set against No. 9 Florida State (May 9-11) also remains.
ADVINCULA ALL-AMERICAN WORTHY - 2B Jarren Advincula has put together an All-American caliber season through 32 games. He currently ranks second in the ACC and tied for 11th nationally with 55 hits that are only seven off the national lead, while he is among ACC and national leaders in seven different offensive categories.
CADE CAMPBELL RETURNS - 3B Cade Campbell has returned to the lineup for the last three games as the starter at third base after having missed four-plus contests due to injury. Since returning, Campbell is 4-for-10 (.400) with four runs scored, a double, home run and an RBI. He is second on the team with a .389 batting average and 28 RBI on the season, as well as tied for second with eight homers.
FRENCH AND HANDRON STREAKS - OF Jacob French and INF/DH Max Handron both currently have eight-game hit streaks. French's is his longest at Cal while Handron's is tied for his career best.
SMALDINO ON FIRE - 1B Dominic Smaldino has arguably been Cal's hottest hitter of late with four homers in his last six games – including his first career grand slam against Pacific on April 7 – five in his last eight, and six in his last 11.
TIGHT BATTING AVERAGE RACE - Three different Golden Bears are in serious contention for the team's batting title with leader Jarren Advincula (.390) followed closely by Cade Campbell (.389) and Jacob French (.387).
BALLPARKS MATTER - Cal's numbers have been significantly different at home and on the road in 2025. Cal's pitching staff has taken advantage of Stu Gordon Stadium with a 4.50 ERA (6.33 road), while hitters have capitalized on friendly offensive ballparks on the road with a .338 batting average (.263 at home).
STATISTICAL ADVANTAGES - Despite being just two games over .500, Cal has some significant sizeable statistical advantages over its opponents including batting average (.297-.248), runs (239-189), hits (336-265), doubles (71-44), triples (12-1) and home runs (47-37).

TRIPLES DISCREPANCY - While Cal's 12 triples are tied for the most among ACC teams and 20th nationally, the Bears have allowed just a single triple all season.
