LEIPZIG, Germany – California men's gymnastics' Theodor Roald Gadderud competed in his third European Championships on Tuesday as part of the four-man Norwegian squad, scoring for the team in his first four out of six events and posting an all-around score of 75.398 for 35th place out of 69 total gymnasts at Messe Leipzig.
 
Norway finished 12th in the 28-nation team competition with a composite score of 234.562.
 
Roald Gadderud started off his day on parallel bars, where he scored a 13.300, followed by a 12.200 with a stick on high bar. He then moved to floor, posting a routine worth 13.633 points, then scored 12.133 on pommel horse for the last of his four routines that counted toward Norway's team score. The rising senior's outing finished off with a 11.566 on rings and a 12.566 on vault.
 
Cal's week of competition will continue Wednesday across the Atlantic in Calgary, Alberta, at the Canadian Championships, which will feature new alumnus and reigning Canadian pommel horse champion Aidan Li and rising sophomore Matteo Bardana. The first rotation is scheduled for 4:53 p.m. PT.
