Bears Enter 2025 With High Expectations Behind Center

QB Notes:
  • Brown, who spent his first three seasons at Ohio State, recorded 331 career passing yards and three passing touchdowns at Ohio State from 2023-25. He appeared in nine games during Ohio State's national championship-winning season in 2024-25.
  • Sagapolutele was rated as a 5-star recruit and the No. 19 overall player (No. 4 QB) by On3 and a 4-star recruit according to 247, ESPN and Rivals. He was a 2024 Elite 11 finalist and a 2024 Elite 11 Rail Shot Challenge winner. As a senior at Campbell High School in Ewa Beach, HI, he completed 213-of-302 passes for 3,404 yards and 46 TDs with just 3 interceptions. He notched six games with 300+ yards passing and two games of 400+ yards passing. He also tallied five games with six TD passes and eight contests with multiple TD passes in 2024. In total, he recorded 10,653 yards passing in his prep career from 2022-24 to set Hawai'i all-time passing yards record.
  • Caminong appeared in one game - the LA Bowl Hosted By Gronk - for the Golden Bears last season. He threw for 57 yards and rushed for 18 yards.
  • Ingrassia led the College of San Mateo to the 2024 California junior college state championship after throwing for 1,590 yards and 13 touchdowns over 10 games in 2024.
  • Third-year signal caller Belay Brummel and a rookie Alonzo Esparza complete the quarterback room.
 
Quarterbacks Coach: Bryan Harsin, 1st Season
  • 23 years of coaching experience on the offensive side of the ball, including 10 seasons as an FBS head coach at Auburn (2021-22), Boise State (2014-20) and Arkansas State (2013).
  • Carries an 85-36 overall record as a head coach at the FBS level.
  • Compiled a 69-19 overall record with three Mountain West Conference titles in his seven seasons as Boise State's head coach. 
  • Played quarterback at Boise State from 1995-99 and later began his FBS coaching career at BSU in 2001 as a graduate assistant.
  • Continued to climb the ranks at Boise State after his time as a GA. He was the tight ends coach from 2002-05 and elevated to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2006 when Chris Petersen was hired as head coach before returning to Boise as the head coach in 2013.
  • In five seasons as the Broncos offensive coordinator, Boise State's record was 61-5 and his offenses were in the top five nationally in scoring four times, capped by ranking first in 2009 (42.2 ppg) and second in 2010 (45.1 ppg). In all, Boise State averaged 41.4 ppg during his time as coordinator. 
  • With Harsin calling plays, Boise State won two Fiesta Bowls - the program's first in 2006 (43-42 vs. Oklahoma) and 2009 (17-10 vs. TCU).
  • As quarterbacks coach, Harsin guided Kellen Moore into becoming one of the nation's most productive quarterbacks. In 2010, Moore was named first-team All-America by the Football Writers Association of America and became Boise State's first Heisman Trophy finalist. He was also a finalist for the Maxwell Award, Davey O'Brien Award and Manning Award and was named the nation's top quarterback by The Touchdown Club of Columbus.
