POSTGAME NOTES: CALIFORNIA 28, BOSTON COLLEGE 24
 
  • Today was Cal's first win ever against Boston College. The teams had met just once previously with Boston College a 21-15 win over Cal on Sept 13, 1986.
  • Cal won its ACC opener for the first time. The Bears dropped their first-ever ACC opener last year at Florida State on Sept. 21, 2024
  • ILB Luke Ferrelli's game-clinching interception with 19 seconds left was the first INT of his career
  • TE Mason Mini's 51-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter was the longest reception, as well as the second touchdown reception of his career.
  • Mini's 70 receiving yards were also a career-best.
  • CB Hezekiah Masses registered his fourth interception of the season
  • RB Kendrick Raphael had his second career 100-yard rushing game and finished with 119 yards on a career-high 25 carries. He also had his second rushing touchdown at Cal and the sixth of his career.
  • WR Jacob De Jesus had a Cal career-high eight receptions and tied a Cal career-high with 61 yards receiving.
  • Cal's back-to-back touchdown drives of 10-plus plays in the first half (11-75-6:42, 14-84-9:03) marked the first time the Bears have had back-to-back TD drives of 10 plays or more since scoring touchdowns on their final two drives at USC on Nov. 5, 2022 (10-52-3:52, 12-85-2:54).
  • Cal's second-quarter touchdown drive (14-84-9:03) was its longest scoring drive since the Golden Bears' offense had a 15-play, 63-yard touchdown drive that lasted 9:04 on their first drive of the season against Nevada on Sept. 4, 2021.
  • ILB Cade Uluave had his first sack of the season and the fourth of his career in the second quarter.
