Cal Qualifies 13 Individuals, All Relays For NCAAs

The No. 5 California men's swimming & diving team had 13 student-athletes selected to compete at the 2026 NCAA Championships on Wednesday, including six swimmers who will participate in at least two different events. The Golden Bears feature 11 top-10 seeds with seven individuals and four relays.

 

Yamato Okadome, the 2026 ACC Most Valuable Swimmer, is the No. 1 seed in the 200-yard breaststroke and No. 3 in the 100 breaststroke. Yamato won the ACC championship in both events last month. Nathan Wiffen, Ryan Erisman, Evan Petty and Humberto Najera each earned top-10 seeds. Cal's 13 individual qualifiers are tied for the second-most by a single school.

 

The Bears will compete in all five relays with its highest seed coming at fourth in the 200 Freestyle.
