STANFORD – The California softball team was swept by No. 18 Stanford, falling 5-0 on Sunday afternoon at Stanford Softball Stadium.

After two scoreless innings, the Cardinal jumped ahead 2-0 in the third on an RBI single and a fielder's choice.

Stanford added a run in the fifth to extend the lead to 3-0.

The Cardinal drove in two more runs in the seventh to bring the final score to 5-0.

With the loss, the Bears fall to 13-36 overall. Cal will close out the regular season on the road at Pittsburgh.
