High School: Attended Oak Park High School, where she was the founder and president of the Oak Park field hockey club…Two-year president of Red Oak Homework Club (2013-2015) and helped tutor third through fifth graders…Claimed second in the CSUCI Idea to Impact Challenge Senior Division, where students look to make a difference in their communities with innovative solutions to energy and environmental issues…Attended the National Futures Championship in 2015 (Lillehammer), 2014 (Berlin), 2013 (Albertville), 2012 (Tokyo) and 2011 (Atlanta)…Claimed bronze in 2012 and gold in 2011 with her Futures squads…USA Field Hockey Festival attendee in 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011

Personal: Was introduced to field hockey while living in Amherst, NH, and played with her middle school team before moving to California in 2010, where she met former U.S. Men’s National Team member and coach Binh Hoang…Also plays piano and guitar, sings, writes and draws…Volunteer at Habitat for Humanity of Ventura Country…Coached U15 girls field hockey in Moorpark, Calif…Parents are Andrew and Susan Spence…Father, Andrew, passed away in May 2015
