• Also an honorable mention All-State and first-team All-District pick, as well as team MVP and team captain as a 2016 junior when he had 53 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, five interceptions that he returned for 134 yards and one touchdown, two fumble recoveries that he returned 85 yards, two quarterback hurries and six passes deflected while adding three kick returns for 68 yards and two punt returns for 25 yards for a squad that reached the second round of the state’s 6A D1 playoffs after District and Area titles finishing with an 11-1 record and 6-0 District mark
• Earned his team’s MVP honors as a 2015 sophomore when he had 78 tackles, three interceptions including two that he returned for touchdowns, three fumble recoveries and one blocked field goal attempt for a team that reached the opening round of the state’s 6A D1 playoffs finishing with a 7-4 overall record
