2011 (Sophomore): Rowed on Cal's junior varsity 8+ boat that beat Stanford at The Big Row, came in second at the Pac-10 Championships and sixth at the IRA national championships ... second-team Pac-10 All-Academic.
2010 (Freshman): Rowed on Cal's second-place novice 8+ boat at the IRA Regatta... rowed on Cal's victorious novice 8+ at the Big Row.
Personal: Undeclared major...named the MVP of the 2009 season at St. John Nianney High School...came in third in the men's double at the U.S. Youth National Championships in 2007...competed for two years on the U.S. Junior National team in 2007 on the men's 4 and the 8+ in 2008...also played football and basketball for one year each in high school...made the Honor Roll all eight semesters...caddied and worked in construction last summer...parents are Thomas and Corie Klotz...has an older sister and an older brother...born on Dec. 24, 1990, in St. Louis, Mo.
