  • Made his debut at the 2023 World Swimming Championships in Fukuoka, Japan
    • Captured his first individual medal at the World Championships with a bronze in the 100 fly
      • First American to medal in the event since 2019 with a personal-best time of 50.46
    • Helped win gold in the 4x100 medley relay with fellow Cal swimmers Ryan Murphy and Jack Alexy
      • Trio broke a 13-year old American record with a time of a time of 3:27.20, breaking the previous mark of 3:27.28 set in 2009 during the "supersuit" era.
    • Advanced to the finals in the 50 fly and finished sixth.
  • Won gold in the 100 fly at the 2023 Phillips 66 National Championships to earn his first berth at the FINA World Championships
  • Threw down 51.40 to place fourth in 100m fly at 2022 U.S. Phillips 66 International Team Trials, narrowly missing a roster spot for FINA World Championships
